Responsible business: a simple start for large companies

28 May 2026 · 2 min read · Alive Spectra

ESG means three things: caring for the environment, treating people well, and running the company honestly. It used to be optional. Now buyers, banks, and partners expect it. For large companies in Bangladesh, the trick is to start properly instead of just talking about it.

Start with what matters most

Not every topic matters to every business. A garment factory and a software company do not face the same issues. Pick the few topics that really matter in your industry and start there. A short, honest list is worth more than a thick report nobody believes.

Honest management comes first

This is where trust is built: clear controls, honest reporting, and decisions that hold up when someone checks them. Once people trust how you run the company, they will believe your environmental and social work too.

Put it into daily work

A policy that only lives in a document will not last. Give each task an owner, add it to your normal processes, and review it on a fixed date, the same way you review sales or costs.

Done well, this lowers your risk and opens doors with serious partners. It is part of our Management Consultancy work.
